Highly-rated camping experiences on Spain’s East coast
The Costa Dorada is an ideal destination for a family camping or mobile home holiday. Vibrant resorts like Salou, with its magnificent promenade, beaches, port and shops, offer everything a family could need.
A little further north is Tarragona, an ancient city with splendid ramparts, unique medieval and Roman monuments and a wide range of shops and restaurants. And it’s not just the beaches that will interest campers, inland lies breadfruit trees, vineyards and olive tree orchards. It is an area famous for its wine-making, offering ample opportunity for a couple of campers to seek out wine-tasting experiences.

Beaches and Port Aventura
The main reason you might visit Costa Dorada for your next camping trip, apart from the year-round great weather, the pretty seaside resorts and an opportunity to immerse yourself in Spanish culture, is its abundance of beautiful sandy beaches - perfect for relaxing and bathing.
The other reason is Port Aventura. Universal's famous Port Aventura theme park, where exhilarating rides and attractions always make for a great family day out, is just a 20 mins drive away. New for 2017, the park now includes 'Ferrari Land'. If you're looking for something different this year, why not seek out the Caribbean-themed water park, Costa Caribe?
Away from the campsite - Barcelona & Las Ramblas
The Costa Dorada offers convenient access to Barcelona in the North of the region. The bustling metropolis is home not just to the world’s best football team, but a wealth of other sights, attractions and experiences that will interest campers of all tastes and ages.
We recommend that all campers in the area squeeze in a trip to Las Ramblas if they can. The central boulevard at the heart of the city contains a fountain said to hold magical properties. If you drink the water, you’ll fall in love with Barcelona and always return to the city!
Getting to the Costa Dorada
Barcelona and Reus International Airports provide easy access to the Costa Dorada from the UK. Affordable car hire also makes fly drive a great option to get to both of our campsites.
The best way to experience Costa Dorada?
La Torre del Sol, just 15km south of Salou, mobile home accommodation provides a cost-effective option. Without losing the comforts you expect from a western European holiday, you can save enough money to fully enjoy all that the glorious region has to offer.
And whether you’re staying for the first time at one of our campsites or are a seasoned Costa Dorada camper, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly staff.
